Schools

Children of all ages love Heritage Farm! They learn so much and our family atmosphere is very welcoming to our young visitors.  Guided lessons in the authentic 19th century One Room Schoolhouse, The Progress of Appalachia Museum, the American Transportation museum, and options with a Coal Mine tour, Nature Walk, Wagon Rides or the Hands on Activity Center can be added.

Our petting zoo is a favorite and milking the 'cow' is a great memory maker. But so is grinding corn and visiting the little cabin in the woods.  We really enjoy hosting our school tours and have provided these videos for you to familiarize yourself with our facilities.  Should you wish to reserve a date, please feel welcome to call us at 304.522.1244.

TESTIMONIALS:
10/17/2010 Laura, I just wanted to tell you how nice of a day and time we had on Friday! The kids really enjoyed the experience and I think they learned a lot!  I thought your staff members were also very knowledgable.  Thanks again for allowing our school to participate in this great learning experience!  Audrey H.

10/14/2010  I want to thank you for being such great hosts today while we were there with Kellogg Elementary School.  It was great to tour the facility and to see all the history and wonderfully preserved items in the various museums.  Thank you for your diligence and for wanting to help teach kids about our heritage.  Kerry C.
