Vintage Vows

It is that time of year when blushing brides-to-be are busy making plans for the most important day of their lives.   Heritage Farm hosts many weddings throughout the year but wanted to feature Jay and Allison Graham's special day June 18th of 2010.   The thoughtful details she included in their special ceremony are above and beyond and fitting for a magazine spread.  In fact, they were highlighted in WV Weddings on page 285.  How exciting!

"When looking for a venue for my wedding, I knew I wanted an outdoor place that was beautiful, rustic, inviting, and homey."  When Allison arrived at Heritage Farm she "fell in love"! She explained to me she wanted a large field with a fresh outdoorsy appeal and Blackberry Inn was the perfect choice.  "I knew that most people got married inside of your chapel, but I was determined to find a flat outdoor place big enough to seat my 200+ guests. The Blackberry Inn was perfect!"

"For the ceremony, we set up hay bales and planks of wood for our guests to sit on. Vintage country flowers from Jenni Powell at CK Florist truly set the scene. My bridesmaids and I all wore brown cowgirl boots, while the boys all wore chocolate brown chuck's to compliment their brown tuxes."

The farm offers such a unique and warm setting for nuptials and the Cooke's wedding was picture perfect.

"It was SO shabby chic, and everything I had imagined. Plus, the staff at Heritage Farm was so sweet and helpful it was a pleasure working with them!"

I hope you enjoyed viewing these lovely captured moments that Mr. and Mrs. Jay Graham experienced on the farm and if you have love on your mind and a wedding in your future, be sure to call us.  Thank you Alli for taking the time to share with us your descriptions and photos of your picture perfect day!

We are linking up with Farm Friend Friday at Verde Farm.  Spend the weekend browsing other farm blogs and follow some new friends!  Have a wonderful weekend and see you next week!
